Somerset Studio Magazine Winter 2019

Excited to be published again in the Spotlight section of the newly revamped Somerset Studio Magazine. My Art Quilt, “Well Behaved Women rarely make history”, features a photo of my mother and her girlfriends celebrating in the 1940’s after the war. My mother was a sergeant in the army.

I used burlap, rust-dyed linen, and vintage upholstery from my father, who worked in interior design in those days after the war.

Pillow Talk

Excited to be included in the latest Sew Somerset Magazine, Summer 2017.

My inspiration for this article was the many memories of my childhood, nights spent curled up on the couch with my favorite pillow as I listened to tales of dragons, castles, fairies and princesses. I was evoking a feeling from those days, when each story had a special meaning, so I wrote a word on each to remember to cherish the moment.
